Post-Treatment Instructions:

  • Avoid excessive sun exposure 2 weeks post treatment.
  • Apply your Elta MD sunscreen the day after treatment and re-apply every 2 hours for incidental sun exposure such as driving.
  • For cleansing the skin, we recommend you use the Ultra Gentle Cleanser available for purchase at reception. Use your fingertips only, in a gentle motion and pat dry. Do so until the skin is healed.
  • Do not pick, rub or scratch any scabs or dry skin that may appear. This may cause unwanted side effects such as darkening of skin and/or scarring.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures of heat for 24 hours post treatment (i.e., Jacuzzi, hot showers etc.)
  • Do not shave the treated area until the skin is completely healed.
  • If you experience itching after treatment, you may use over the counter topical hydrocortisone cream. After treatment, your skin may appear slightly reddened which subsides rather quickly. Mild swelling may occur.
  • If desired, you may use makeup on the treated area, as long as the skin is not broken, blistered, or irritated. If you do not need makeup for the evening or treatment, wait until the next morning
